Terms of Service

ResumeFox is operated by TopStack Resume, a career-services firm based in the United States. When these terms say “we” they mean that company; when they say “you” they mean whoever is using the service. Using the site means you accept what's on this page and in the privacy policy.

We rebuild and edit resumes, find and assess job postings, tailor applications to specific jobs, write cover letters, prepare you for interviews, help with LinkedIn, and help you think through an offer.

The free plan covers getting your resume rebuilt: upload it or build it from scratch, read all of it, switch templates, colors and font size, edit it by hand and with AI, and take a plain-text copy. Reading the whole of a rebuilt resume needs a free account; nothing on the free plan asks for payment details.

Full Access adds Word and PDF downloads, job sourcing, targeted applications, cover letters, the application tracker, LinkedIn, interview preparation and offer negotiation. The full line is on the pricing page.

We cannot get you a job, and we never say we can. Nothing here is a promise of an interview, a callback or an offer. Hiring decisions are made by employers on grounds we have no sight of.

We do not promise your resume will pass any particular applicant tracking system. Every employer configures theirs differently. What we can do (and do) is make the file readable: clean structure, real headings, no text trapped in tables, columns or images.

Offer negotiation is not legal or financial advice. We are not lawyers, accountants or financial advisers. We work with the numbers you give us. We do not originate market rates and we do not value equity. Take professional advice before signing anything.

AI output needs your eyes on it. Everything the AI writes is a draft for you to check and edit. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send to an employer, and for the fact that it is true.

• Be truthful in what you put in. Do not ask us to help you claim a qualification, an employer or a period of employment that is not yours.
• Only upload documents that are yours to upload.
• An account is for one person only. Do not share it, or your login, with anyone else; it is not a team seat, and an account used by more than one person may be suspended.
• Do not attempt to scrape the service, resell its output as a competing product, or use it to generate content at a scale that has nothing to do with your own job search.
• You need to be 18 or older, or have a parent's consent.

Full Access has no usage limits for one person running their own job search. It is not for automated or bulk use. Do not use scripts, bots or other software to send requests to the service, and do not use it at a volume no single person's job search would need. We may limit, suspend or close an account that does either, that is shared, or that is used to defraud an employer or otherwise abuse the service. We will tell you why. If we close an account for one of these reasons, payments already made are not refunded.

You keep every right in the documents you upload and the ones we help you produce. We take only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your documents, to send the relevant text to the AI that rewrites it, and to render it as a file you can download.

We do not train any model on your data, and we do not use your resume as an example to anyone else. Delete it and it is gone.

The templates, the site, the software and the standards the AI follows remain ours.

These are the actual terms, not a pointer to another page:

• Full Access: $2.95 covers your first 14 days. After that it renews at $23.95 every 4 weeks until you cancel. Four weeks is not a month: that is 13 charges in a year.
• Annual: $95.40 paid once, covering 12 months, then renewing annually.
• Cancel anytime from Plans & Billing in your account. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds: the $2.95 trial is refundable at any point in its 14 days. Any later charge, a renewal or an Annual payment, is refunded if you ask us to cancel within 72 hours of it. After that, payments are final.

Payment is handled by Stripe. Prices may change, but never for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change takes effect. The full detail is on the refunds and cancellation page.

We aim to keep the service running and we do not promise it never goes down. Parts of it depend on other companies (an AI provider, a job board, a payment processor) and an outage at one of those can stop a feature working for a while. If something is broken for you, tell us; we would rather know.

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a job you did not get.

Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, and disputes go to the courts there. If any part of this page is unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and for anything material (pricing, cancellation, what we do with your content) we will email account holders rather than relying on you noticing. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you do not, cancel and ask us to delete your account.
