Speed and accuracy are the job. A specific draw count per shift, a specimen rejection rate, a difficult-draw or pediatric success rate tells a lab manager exactly what you can handle. "Drew blood from patients" says nothing a resume needs to say.
ASCP, NHA and AMT are not interchangeable, and many employers require a specific one. List the certification, the issuing body and the year clearly, and note if you are actively renewing or adding a second certification.
Sunquest, Cerner and Epic Beaker are specific enough to matter to a lab planning your onboarding. If you have handled chain-of-custody specimens, STAT draws or point-of-care testing, name those explicitly rather than a generic "lab experience" line.
A draw in a NICU, an oncology infusion center and a walk-in outpatient lab all require different skills. Naming the population you worked with, along with your typical daily volume, tells a hiring manager far more than a duties list that could describe any phlebotomist anywhere.
One page for anyone with fewer than about ten years of experience, since most day-to-day phlebotomy duties compress well. Once you are supervising multiple sites or have training and compliance responsibilities layered on top of drawing, like a lab supervisor role, a tight two pages is reasonable.
No. List the certification name, the issuing body (ASCP, NHA or AMT) and the year, but leave the certification number off a resume you are sending to multiple employers. It gets verified directly during hiring.
List your clinical externship as real experience: the setting, your typical draw volume if you know it, and the patient population. It shows a hiring lab manager you have handled live patients under supervision, which matters more to them than a certificate date alone.
