FlowCV Review
An honest look at FlowCV's free plan, templates and pricing, and what ResumeFox does differently.
What each one actually costs over twelve months
FlowCV's free tier is genuinely generous, so the honest comparison starts there, and its Pro plan is far cheaper than ResumeFox however you pay. The two cards are not the same product: FlowCV Pro is software, and ResumeFox at $79 a month is the resume work plus a career professional in the US you can write to. Read them that way rather than as two prices for one thing.
- Free plan includes a real resume and a real cover letter, unlimited watermark-free PDF downloads, and all 100+ templates, no card required
- Its own FAQ confirms two-column, photo-ready templates and calls them ATS-safe, and only recommends one-column "if you're worried about very old systems"
- A career coach of your own, a career professional in the US from TopStack.com, with standards from 80,000+ hand-written resumes behind the writing
- Every tool and every download included, plus a 6 month job offer guarantee. Nothing is charged during the 7 free days
- $79 a month, well above FlowCV Pro's $19 a month or $60 billed yearly
FlowCV's prices are read directly from its own pricing page, including both the monthly and yearly billing toggles. Its subscription renews automatically like ResumeFox's, per its own FAQ, unlike some other competitors compared on this site that use a pay-once model. Confirm the exact price and terms on the checkout screen before entering a card.
The full side-by-side comparison
Grouped by what actually matters: where the writing comes from, whether the file survives the software, whether the resume gets aimed at the job you want, and what it costs to keep using.
A half-filled circle means the feature exists but with a real limitation, described in the cell.
More templates is not the same as more good templates
A large share of the designs these builders promote use two columns, a headshot slot, or skills drawn as dots and bars. Those choices are the reason a resume arrives shredded: the sidebar gets read straight across into the middle of your job history, and a skills graphic says nothing once the picture is gone.
ResumeFox ships 10 templates plus a US federal layout. Not one has a sidebar, a photo or a chart. They differ in typography and emphasis, never in whether they parse.
- Whether a parser reads your name, email, phone and dates
- Whether anything is trapped in a table, column or image
- Named problems, not a grade out of 100
What each one is genuinely good and bad at
A small, independent team's genuinely generous free resume builder, the highest-rated and cheapest-to-upgrade competitor reviewed on this site, but with no published fit-to-a-posting, job search, interview prep, or LinkedIn tool.
- A genuinely generous free plan: unlimited watermark-free PDF downloads, all 100+ templates, and one free cover letter, no card required
- Cheapest paid tier of any competitor compared on this site: $5/month ($60/year) billed yearly, or $19/month
- 14-day money-back guarantee on a paid plan, per its own pricing FAQ
- 25% discount for 3 years for verified university students
- No staffed writing service behind it; a small independent product team, not resume writers
- Its own FAQ confirms two-column, photo-ready templates and calls them ATS-safe, and only recommends one-column "if you're worried about very old systems"
- No published fit-to-a-posting tool, job search, interview prep, LinkedIn rewrite, or offer negotiation feature found on its site
- Subscription auto-renews automatically, the same as ResumeFox
Built by a resume-writing firm rather than a template platform, and sold as one plan with a career coach included. The standards come from real work, not an algorithm, and the job-targeting tools sit beside the resume itself.
- A career coach of your own, a career professional in the US from TopStack.com, with unlimited written messages and a $20 30-minute call whenever you want one
- Standards drawn from 80,000+ hand-written resumes by 100+ CPRW-certified US writers and recruiters
- Job sourcing, an application tracker, interview prep and offer negotiation beside the resume, with fit shown as bands and never as a score
- 6 month job offer guarantee: If you have paid for our service for 6 consecutive months, and you have not received a job offer, we'll continue to work with you for 6 additional months at no cost.
- $79 a month, several times what a builder subscription costs
- 11 templates against FlowCV's 100+, deliberately fewer
- Coaching is written messages; a phone call is a $20 add-on rather than part of the price
- The card is taken at the start of the 7 free days, though nothing is charged until they end

Is FlowCV legit?
Yes. It's operated by UNIQKORN Creative GmbH, based in Vienna, Austria. Independently, it holds a 4.9★ rating on Trustpilot from 1,778 reviews, the highest of any competitor reviewed on this site. Its free plan is real: one resume and one cover letter, unlimited watermark-free PDF downloads, no card required.
How much does FlowCV cost?
FlowCV's core builder is free. Pro adds unlimited resumes and cover letters, unlimited imports, a Job Application Tracker, and AI features for $19/month billed monthly, or $5/month ($60 billed yearly). It renews automatically, per its own FAQ.
Is ResumeFox cheaper than FlowCV?
No, and by a wide margin: FlowCV Pro runs $5/month billed yearly ($60/year) or $19/month, against ResumeFox at $79 a month after 7 free days ($948 for a year). The $79 buys a career coach of your own, a career professional in the US from TopStack.com with unlimited written messages, alongside the resume rebuild, per-posting tailoring, job sourcing, interview prep, LinkedIn, the tracker, offer negotiation and a 6 month job offer guarantee.
Does FlowCV have a job tracker or job search?
FlowCV names a "Job Application Tracker" as a Pro feature, but its public site gives no detail on what it tracks or whether it links to a specific resume or cover letter. It has no job search or live job board that we found. ResumeFox's Application Tracker keeps one record per job with the targeted resume, cover letter, prep and offer notes attached.
Does FlowCV score my resume or my fit to a job?
We found no published ATS-checker or job-match scoring tool on flowcv.com. Its FAQ addresses ATS-friendliness in general terms rather than a per-resume score. ResumeFox never scores either: it names specific, checkable problems on the readability half and uses bands, never a number, on the fit-to-a-posting half.
Are FlowCV's templates ATS-friendly?
FlowCV's own FAQ says yes, "even with two-column templates," and only recommends a one-column layout "if you're worried about very old systems." ResumeFox takes the stricter position: every template is single-column and photo-free, with no sidebar and no skills drawn as a chart, on any template.
What happens if I don't like it?
FlowCV offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on a paid plan, per its pricing FAQ. ResumeFox charges nothing during its 7 free days, so cancelling inside them costs you nothing, and you can cancel anytime from your account. It also carries a 6 month job offer guarantee: If you have paid for our service for 6 consecutive months, and you have not received a job offer, we'll continue to work with you for 6 additional months at no cost.
How we compared these
Pricing is read from each provider's own checkout or pricing page. Feature claims are checked against each product's live interface. Where we could not confirm something ourselves, it is not on this page.
Where numbers disagree
Entry prices in this category differ across landing pages and promotions. Where that happens we give the observed range rather than one figure, and say so.
Our disclosure
This page is published by ResumeFox, one of the products compared. We have an obvious interest in your choosing it. That is why every claim about a competitor is one you can check on their own site, and why we name the rows they win.
